litigation funding

The Legitimisation of the Litigation Industry by the High Court in Fostif's case (30th August 2006) has allowed investment in legal cases.Prior to Fostif's case, investing in a legal case by an unrelated third party was restricted to liquidators and other specific persons or organisations. This has now changed and the High Court has given the green light to litigation funding in general.

Excellent returns are available for investors in the growing litigation funding industry."Litigation funding has the potential to facilitate access to justice and in that respect I want to see the industry flourish"... NSW Attorney-General, Mr Bob Debus
